“Because every page is a journey.”
Hello, and welcome to The Reise Reader, my little corner of the world dedicated to all things books, imagination, and reflection.

If I’m honest, this space has been decades in the making. I was an only child with a huge imagination, and books were my constant companions. I read everywhere, in the car, at basketball practice, during dinner, even in the bathroom (don’t judge!). My mom finally had enough and said, “If you’re going to read that much, at least give me a report on what you read and whether you liked it.” So I did, notebooks full of summaries, doodles, and my own little rating system.
That tradition carried on into adulthood and motherhood (sorry, littles). Even now, between work and my MBA journey, I still jot notes about everything I read, eager to share the takeaways with friends, family, and colleagues. I’ve always believed books are a form of travel. They take us to places we’ve never been, challenge how we think, and help us grow.
That’s where the name The Reise Reader comes from ~ Reise” means “travel” in German, and like my childhood self, I’m never without a book (or three). Whether it’s an audiobook on the road, a paperback in my bag, or a digital read before bed, stories move with me.
